Rectification

Not everyone has their birth time. Hospital records get lost, parents misremember, the certificate never noted it down, and sometimes the story was never told straight. Without a birth time, large parts of your chart remain hidden. The angles, the house system, the placement of the fast-moving Moon, all of it depends on the minute you drew your first breath. Rectification is how we get that minute back.

I am Deaglán MacCanna, and I have been practising traditional astrology since 2013. Rectification is one of the most painstaking branches of the craft, and also one of the most rewarding. The method is simple to describe and slow to do. You give me a list of dated events from your life, marriages, births, deaths, moves, accidents, career turns, any moment that left a mark, and I work backwards through the charts that would have been overhead at each of those moments. The birth time that consistently fits the events is your birth time. It is detective work more than divination, and the answer is usually a narrow window rather than a single minute. I will tell you honestly how tight the result is.

What rectification is not, is a guess. I will not round your time to noon and hope for the best. If the events you give me do not produce a clear chart, I will tell you, and we will talk about whether more events might sharpen the picture. The point of the work is to give you, and every reading that follows from it, solid ground to stand on.

What you receive

• • A comprehensive, custom-drafted Rectification report A complete digital manuscript setting out the exact techniques applied, the dated life events used, and the definitive birth time conclusion, complete with its margin of confidence.
• A precise, corrected chart foundation A birth time you can finally trust. Once your rectification is complete, your corrected data is locked in on file, ensuring any future reading you order—whether natal, transit, lunar, or synastry—is built on an accurate cosmic map.
• Lifetime access to your personal astrology portal Your secure, permanent digital dashboard. Once registered, your updated, rectified chart details and your archive of custom reports remain safely stored and downloadable in this one place.

Order with a Birth Chart and pay half price

Rectification on its own is useful. Rectification paired with a full Birth Chart reading is where the work pays off most clearly, because you walk away with both the corrected time and a full written reading built on it. Order the two together and the rectification is half price. If you already know you want the deeper picture, this is the pairing I would suggest.
